Most people think they have to save a ton of money to experience something that most of us all dream of, traveling around the world.
If money isn’t an issue, the most often used excuse, is that the time is just never right. We are too wrapped up with our busy lives to ever take off that much time. How could you possibly do something like this.
Well, we are creatures of habit and we often do the safe thing, the thing we are used to, working and busting our ass off just to make ends meet. And for what? So we can buy more crap that constantly needs upgrading and eventually becomes obsolete?
We are like hamsters on a wheel, going around and around, doing the same thing, week by week, year by year.
Every once in a while you just got to hop off and go a new direction.
The things is, you don’t need much to travel, “Someday” is not a day of the week.
Get lost! No I mean it. Go, Go Somewhere. Experience life.
When I was traveling through Cambodia on my motorcycle, no map, no mobile, amused friends would later ask, didn’t you ever get lost? I replied, “How could I get lost, if I didn’t know where I was going?” and that is the great thing about traveling, it is an open book of new adventures and new friends, new lands and new stories just waiting to happen and later be told. I would come to a fork in the road and take then that looked more interesting to me.
You do not have to be smart to leave it all behind, but you will be much wiser for it.
